What is the safest commonly supported Wireless Security?

wireless security

I currently use WEP. I was wondering if other options are more secure. I need one that XP and Vista both support. My router supports WEP, WPA, and WPA2

Thanks.
Thank you all for your input. I will be switching security modes shortly. :)

how do I know my wireless security password?

wireless security

I enabled the security password on my wireless network, but it did not ask me to create on, it created it on its own (10-character key). I want my neighbor to be able to connect to my network, but the problem is that I don’t know what is the key… Any tips are helpful, thank you!

Is there any way to change a wireless router’s security settings?

wireless security

I have a Linksys Wireless-G broadband router. I have no idea how to change the security settings so it would be compatible with a Nintendo DS’s. I really want to connect with Wi-Fi. There is this one thing I do, and I get connected, but it’s only for seconds. I need the security thing so the lock won’t be grey.

What are the Belkin Wireless security details to connect?

wireless security

I have used my belkin N wireless router no problem with my laptop.

Though when I try to connect after I ahve set the security on to prevent other people using this it asks me for a series of passwords, usernames, and a domain name?

Does anyone know what these details are and how I can obtain them – the router came with only brief set up instructions….?

How Safe Are Wireless Home Security Systems?

wireless security

Are wireless home security systems safe? Info from the Brickhouse Security say “Wireless Home Security Systems are fully wireless and have built-in power supplies; even if the phone, power and Internet connections are down, your Wireless Home Security System will continue to monitor and protect your property. This feature will come in handy if an intruder cuts the power and phone lines, or there is a blackout and burglars are on the prowl.” Does this mean that the system has its own cell-phone built-in or uses a satellite so it could notify the PD and if so doesn’t a burglar need nothing but a signal disrupter? No I’m not a burglar, just curious in how it works and how safe it really is. We all know if you have an alarm set to the phone-line someone can cut the lines, if you have digital phone someone can just turn the power off your house, or do both. So can a disrupter knock out the system signals? The real question is, “How safe are any Home Security Systems?”
